DiJonai Carrington scores a season-best 22 points to guide the Connecticut Sun to victory over the Indiana Fever (89-72), helping them return to the win column.

Connecticut (10-1) has emerged victorious in three matchups against Indiana (3-10) this season, maintaining an unbeaten record against the Fever since July 3, 2021. The Sun recently achieved their 10th win, making them the second team in the WNBA to reach this milestone in the current season. Conversely, the Fever became the second squad to suffer 10 losses.

Indiana star Caitlin Clark concluded the game with her fourth-lowest scoring output of the season, shooting 3 of 8 from the field for a total of 10 points - all of which were scored in the first half. She accumulated her fourth foul with 4:41 remaining in the third quarter and was subsequently sidelined for the final period.

During the fourth quarter, fans in Connecticut were heard chanting "We want Caitlin! We want Caitlin!".

Clark lost possession of the ball near midcourt, allowing Carrington to sprint down the court for a layup just before the halftime buzzer, extending Connecticut's lead to 55-35. The Sun closed out the first half with a 16-4 scoring run.

Connecticut initiated the third quarter with a 14-6 surge, further widening the gap to 69-41.

Tyasha Harris and Brionna Jones contributed 11 points each for Connecticut, following a recent 82-75 defeat to New York on Saturday. Tiffany Mitchell added 10 points, while Alyssa Thomas recorded seven points, 18 rebounds, and seven assists. Thomas achieved her sole triple-double of the season against the Fever in the season opener.

Aliyah Boston registered 14 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, securing her second double-double of the season for Indiana. Lexie Hull also made an impact off the bench with 10 points.

Connecticut is set to embark on its first two-game road trip of the season, commencing on Wednesday against Chicago.
