Georgia Dominates 2024 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Teams, Beck and Burden Among First-Team Stars

Georgia led the 2024 Preseason Coaches All-SEC Football Teams with 15 players named, including five first-team selections. Among them is quarterback Carson Beck, a leading candidate for the Heisman Trophy. This year’s first-team representation for Georgia is slightly down from 10 last year, partly due to the addition of Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC, which brought more top talent into the mix. Alabama followed closely with 14 honorees, while Texas secured 10 spots.

Oklahoma, despite placing only two players on the All-SEC teams, saw both receive first-team honors: linebacker Danny Stutsman and defensive back Billy Bowman Jr. The SEC is loaded with talent at quarterback this season, as Texas' Quinn Ewers and Alabama's Jalen Milroe were named to the second and third teams, respectively. Notably, standout veterans like Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss and Brady Cook of Missouri were left off the preseason list.
