Dallas forward Jason Robertson suffered a lower-body injury during the Stars' regular-season finale against Nashville on Wednesday and exited the game.

Robertson, who ranks as the Stars' second-highest scorer with 80 points (35 goals, 45 assists) this season, left the match early in the second period after being checked into the boards by Nashville's Michael McCarron. The team confirmed that Robertson would not return to the game. Dallas ultimately lost 5-1 but has secured second place in the Central Division and will face the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs. Nevertheless, the Stars are currently experiencing their worst stretch of the season, with a record of 0-5-2.

Robertson, selected by the Stars in the second round of the 2017 draft, is in his sixth season with the team and has achieved 79 or more points in each of the last four seasons.
