Colorado has earned its first Big 12 weekly accolade since rejoining the conference, with CU women's soccer goalie Jordan Nytes being named the Big 12 co-Goalkeeper of the Week on Wednesday.

Nytes secured the honor after helping the Buffs secure home victories over Wyoming and Michigan last weekend. She played 160 minutes across the two games without conceding a goal, making 12 saves. This is not Nytes' first time receiving the award; she won it twice during her freshman year at Oklahoma State. This week, she shares the accolade with Baylor's Azul Alvarez.

Nytes made four saves in the shutout against Michigan on Sunday, becoming the eighth CU goalie to reach at least 10 career shutouts. Two weeks into the season, Nytes ranks third in the Big 12 with an .893 save percentage.

"Jordi is off to a great start this season," said CU head coach Danny Sanchez in a statement. "As a captain this year, she's embraced the extra leadership role. She's been excellent in goal, kept us competitive against North Carolina, and handled the challenges against Wyoming and Michigan. We're excited about her progress and look forward to seeing how she continues to develop."
