Mahomes Responds to Flag Football QB's Bold Claim: 'I'm Better Because of My IQ'"

Reigning Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes is gearing up for the 2024 NFL season to defend his title, but he still found time to respond to some surprising comments from a flag football quarterback.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Mahomes had a quick comeback to a TMZ interview with flag football player Darrell Doucette, who discussed flag football being added to the 2028 Olympics.

Doucette claimed he would lead Team USA better than Mahomes.

"At the end of the day, I feel like I'm better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game," Doucette said.

Mahomes, who has three Super Bowl rings and MVP honors in all three, saw the clip on X and responded with a GIF of rapper 50 Cent looking puzzled.

Doucette, wearing a "G.O.A.T." T-shirt, insisted that in flag football, he has more knowledge than Mahomes. Doucette is a professional flag football player, quarterback for the U.S. national team, and reigning MVP of the International Federation of American Football flag football championship.

Both the U.S. women’s and men’s teams are undefeated at the IFAF championships.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Doucette called it "disrespectful" to assume that NFL players would automatically make the roster for the 2028 Los Angeles Games flag football team.

"Give the guys who helped this game get to where it’s at their respect," he said.
