The overtime contest on Thursday night between the Buccaneers and the Falcons yielded impressive viewership figures for regular-season streaming. The Amazon Prime broadcast of this Week 5 matchup drew an average audience of 12.3 million viewers. This figure represents a five percent increase compared to last year's Week 5 game between the Bears and the Commanders, and is 27 percent higher than the historically low Colts-Broncos game from Week 5 of 2022.
However, this viewership is significantly lower than the previous week's Cowboys-Giants game, which set an Amazon Prime record with 16.22 million viewers. Despite the higher quality of the recent game, the two teams involved do not possess the same level of appeal. In light of the upcoming holiday season, it can be observed that not every game can achieve the same level of success. Over the course of four games, Thursday Night Football is averaging 14.17 million viewers, marking a 20 percent increase over last year's full-season average and a 48 percent rise compared to the average in 2022.
