Key Injuries:

  • DaRon Holmes II: The rookie forward, acquired in a trade with the Phoenix Suns after being selected 22nd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during his Summer League debut in July 2024. This injury sidelined him for the entire season.

  • Vlatko Čančar: The forward underwent left knee surgery in December 2024, leading to an expected absence until at least February 20, 2025.

  • Aaron Gordon: In March 2025, Gordon was listed as questionable due to a right ankle sprain and a right calf injury. He had previously missed four games in late November 2024 because of a right heel strain.

  • Jamal Murray: Murray dealt with a right ankle sprain in March 2025, making him questionable for games during that period. He had also recovered from a hamstring strain earlier in the season.

  • Nikola Jokić: The star center faced right ankle and left ankle impingement issues in March 2025, leading to his questionable status for certain games.

Team Performance Amid Injuries:

Despite these setbacks, the Nuggets have demonstrated resilience. Notably, in a March 2025 game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the team managed to secure a win even with several key players sidelined. This victory underscored the depth and adaptability of the roster.

Coaching Changes:

In April 2025, with only three games remaining in the regular season, the Nuggets made a surprising move by firing head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth. The decision came amid internal tensions and criticism over roster moves. Assistant coach David Adelman was appointed as the interim head coach.

Recent Performance:

Under Adelman's leadership, the Nuggets secured a 117-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on April 11, 2025. Nikola Jokić achieved a triple-double with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 13 assists, marking his status as the first center and third player ever to average a

triple-double over a season.

Looking Ahead:

As the regular season concludes, the Nuggets' ability to navigate injuries and adapt to coaching changes will be crucial for their postseason aspirations. Fans and analysts alike will be closely watching how the team adjusts and performs in the upcoming playoff series.
