Thunderbirds Reveal Conclusive Roster for the 2024-25 Season.

The Halifax Thunderbirds are pleased to unveil their final roster for the 2024-25 National Lacrosse League Season. The team has secured the following forwards: WakeRiat Bowhunter, Thomas Hoggarth, Cody Jamieson, Cole Kirst, Jason Knox, Clarke Petterson, Mike Robinson, and Randy Staats. Additionally, they have strengthened their defense with the inclusion of Colton Armstrong, Tyson Bell, Graeme Hossack, Carter McKenzie, Johnny Pearson, Trevor Smyth, Ryan Terefenko, Mitch Wilde, Max Wilson, and Jake Withers.


"Building and organizing a team presents its challenges," stated Thunderbirds Head Coach Mike Accursi. "The Training Camp was marked by competitiveness and a high tempo. We successfully integrated youthful energy and athleticism into our final roster, which necessitated some tough choices. We are all eager to witness the development of this team and the potential of the players we have assembled. Our journey has only just begun, and we are looking forward to the 2024-25 season."


This season, the Thunderbirds welcome back several key players. Leading scorer Clarke Petterson, who recorded 40 goals and 64 assists, is coming off a career-best year. Veterans Randy Staats and Cody Jamieson, with 23 goals and 24 assists, and 22 goals and 41 assists respectively, contributed to the Six Nations Chiefs' victory in the Mann Cup Championship and the Haudenosaunee Nationals' Bronze Medal achievement at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships. Furthermore, the team has added new talent to its offensive lineup, including Jason Knox, who joins for his second NLL season after being selected fifth overall. Knox concluded his inaugural professional season with 23 goals and a total of 50 points.
